Standard (Conventional) Wiper Blades
Description:
- Most common type, resembling a coat hanger.
- Typically attached with a hook-shaped wiper arm fitting.
- Sizes range from 10" to 28".
- Can be replaced with standard wipers or upgraded to flat wiper blades.
Spoiler Wiper Blades
Description:
- Feature a full spoiler along the length of the blade.
- Designed to stay close to the windscreen at high speeds.
- Generally used on the driver’s side and attached with a hook-shaped wiper arm fitting.
Retrofit Flat Wiper Blade Upgrade
Description:
- Newer design with no metal frame.
- Features a tensioned metal strip within the rubber structure.
- Offers a flatter aerodynamic shape reducing wind noise.
- Applies constant pressure along the blade's length and includes a built-in spoiler.
- Provides less obstruction to the driver's view.
Hybrid Wiper Blades
Description:
- Combines the aerodynamic shape of a flat blade with the durability of a conventional wiper.
- Has an articulated plastic frame for smooth airflow and even downforce.
- Steel sub-structure supports the rubber wiping element.
- Flexes to the windscreen shape for efficient and quiet wiping.
Flat Wiper Blades
Description:
- Similar to retrofit flat blades, with no metal frame.
- Internal metal strip for constant pressure and a built-in spoiler.
- Reduces wind noise and driver’s field of vision obstruction.
- Requires specific fittings such as Side Pin, Bayonet, Pinch Tab, Push Button, and Slider.
Specific Fit Wiper Blades
Description:
- Original Equipment replacements tailored for specific vehicles.
- Includes unique rear blades and front Twin Packs for certain vehicles.
- Can be conventional or flat type, shown in the wiper blade list for your car.
Rubber Refills
Description:
- Only replaces the rubber part of the wiper blade.
- Low-cost alternative but changing the complete blade is usually easier and more effective.
- Frequent replacement can weaken the wiper blade structure.
- Not compatible with new flat wiper blades.
